Partnerships
The Sapphire Institute for Medical Cannabis Education is proud to partner and collaborate with other organisations who share our commitment and vision. Together we can educate and support the clinical profession and patient considering treatment with cannabis-based medicines.
Society of Cannabis Clinicians (SCC)
The SCC is a non-profit educational and scientific society of physicians and other healthcare professionals dedicated to advancing research and disseminating knowledge about cannabis for medical use. The Sapphire Institute for Medical Cannabis Education is partnering with SCC to provide their UK Chapter. This will involve knowledge sharing, the discussion of interesting cases and up to date research on medical cannabis.
Cannabis Patient Advocacy & Support Services (CPASS)
The Sapphire Institute for Medical Cannabis Education and CPASS share a commitment to educate and support the clinical profession and patients considering treatment with medical cannabis. Through this shared commitment, we are collaborating on the curation and distribution of education in the form of e-learning, educational packs, support groups and much more.
Patient Led Engagement for Access (PLEA)
PLEA’s vision is for all UK patients to have access to cannabis based medicinal products integrated into mainstream healthcare. Patients ask us how to start these important conversations with their clinicians. Being able to signpost towards a free educational resource will certainly address some of their current barriers, often resulting from a lack of understanding of cannabis as a medicine.
The Primary Care Cannabis Network
The Primary Care Cannabis Network was created to help educate GPs understand medical cannabis treatments. By engaging front-line doctors to be informed of the regulatory landscape in the UK and the potential pathways of treatment for patients, GPs can accurately answer questions on the subject matter.
